"A women’s retreat for slowing down, listening deeply, and remembering what the heart has always known."
Over eight centuries ago, the Persian mystic Attar told the story of a gathering of birds who set out in search of the legendary Simorgh, believing they were seeking a distant king.
Their journey carried them through seven valleys—of longing, love, insight, bewilderment, surrender, unity, and transformation. Along the way, many turned back. Others discovered that every challenge revealed another layer of themselves.
When the few remaining birds finally reached their destination, they discovered something unexpected: the Simorgh they had been searching for was not separate from them. In seeing one another clearly, they recognized what they had been seeking reflected back.
This retreat is inspired by that story.
Like the birds, we gather with our own questions, hopes, griefs, and longings—not to become someone else, but to remember what has always been waiting within.
This retreat is intentionally offered as a women's gathering because we believe there is something uniquely powerful that emerges when women come together in an atmosphere of trust, openness, and mutual support.
Throughout history, women have gathered in circles to share wisdom, navigate life's transitions, tend to one another, and remember what can easily be forgotten in the busyness of everyday life.
By creating a space exclusively for women, we hope to cultivate a sense of safety and belonging that allows participants to be seen more fully, to listen more deeply, and to explore their inner lives with greater honesty and freedom.
Together we create a field of shared presence where contemplation, embodiment, expanded awareness, authentic connection, and community can naturally unfold.
"There are seasons in life when the way forward is not found by doing more, but by listening more deeply."
A Journey Inward is an intimate women’s retreat created for those longing to step away from the demands of everyday life and return to themselves.
Through breath-work, embodied movement, contemplative practices, time in nature, Persian poetry, dance, ritual, journaling, and optional sacred journeys, we create a safely held space where presence, clarity, and inner knowing can emerge.
We create the conditions in which remembering becomes possible.
Most room types are shared spaces because transformation is rarely an individual achievement. By sharing accommodations, we intentionally create a living community and a collective container for profound inner work.
